Erre que Erre
The dance company Erre que Erre was established in November 1996 and since then they have been present in the Spanish and European stages.

With their first piece ‘Despegando sombras del suelo’, Erre que Erre was awarded with the 1st prize at the X Certamen Coreográfico de Madrid and the prize for the best original music. The same piece was awarded in 1999 at the Prix Volinine in Paris. A few months later, they were awarded the consolation prize in the Ricard Moragas Award for their second piece ‘ Dando forma a la nada’ . In 1997, they begin to collaborate with La Fura dels Baus, for which they have created several choreographies. In 2001, they were awarded with the Premi d’Arts Escèniques in Lleida for the work ‘Pensamientos Despeinados’. ‘Vaivén’ , premiered in Madrid and Barcelona, was a great success in the whole country and in its first tour in Europe.

The group Erre que Erre have always understood team work as the centre of their own identity. Every project means the formation of a team which gets involved in the creation of a new performance.

Erre que Erre
celebrated its tenth anniversary in 2006. Ten years researching into the new conceptions of dance and movement. It has been a decade in which the language of the group has never stopped evolving. Every new performance and creation has meant a step towards its own definition in the field of the stage creation.

In order to commemorate a ten years career, Erre que Erre is involved in the project ‘Escupir en el tiempo’. The performance wants to be a celebration for the elapsed years, but through the future and the secrets which are still left to unveil. Festive and solemn alike, ‘ Escupir en el tiempo’ is a celebration only for the ones who feel like celebrating.
